The premises of the Institute are secure by virtue of its design. Entry is only accessible by calling on the Security Post and providing the requisite identification. Further, the grounds are secured by uniformed and non-uniformed security officers around the clock. However students are expected to exercise the same amount of care as if they were elsewhere.

Personal items and equipment

Students are required to declare all equipment, computers and other electronic devices. the serial numbers must be recorded at the MTI’s security post. However, bags, laptop computers and other electronic gadgets are not allowed in the computer laboratories.

Random security checks are carried out on the campus and therefore, students are advised to display their identification cards at all times. Students not in compliance will be denied access to the campus, computer laboratories, library, post production areas and other restricted areas.

Security Gate Passes

Security personnel located at the main gate issue a laminated gate pass to each motorist entering the campus. This pass must be returned upon your exit from the campus. Motorists who are unable to produce the pass will have to prove ownership of the motor vehicle as well as to pay to replace the pass. You are advised not to leave the pass in your vehicle but to keep it on your person at all times. General parking is available on a first-come first-serve basis, so parking cannot be reserved.
